Duration: 200 Hours over 8 Weeks

 

      

      PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

 

This program includes all mandatory objectives set forth in the Ministry of Transportation’s Commercial Truck Driver Training Standard (Class A), released July 2016, plus additional objectives that exceeds the minimum standard.  Subjects of the program include:

 

Ø  Employment in the Commercial Vehicle Industry

Ø  Vehicle Components & Systems

Ø  Basic Driving Techniques

Ø  Professional Driving Habits

Ø  Tractor-Trailer Off-Road Tasks and Manoeuvres

Ø  Documents, Paperwork and Regulatory Requirements

Ø  Vehicle Inspection Activities

Ø  Hours of Service Compliance

Ø  Cargo Securement

Ø  Handling Emergencies

Ø  Real World Scenarios

Ø  Fuel Efficiency

Ø  Recruiting/Employment Preparation

Ø  Air Brake

Ø  Transportation Review

 

This program includes both classroom and practical training.  The hands-on training takes place in the yard and on the road using a tractor-trailer, while under the instruction of a qualified trainer.  Students will also engage in various classroom activities to help prepare for a career as a professional driver.

TRACTOR TRAILER MELT

 

Duration: 103.5 Hours over 5 Weeks

DZ TRUCK DRIVER TRAINING


Duration: 82 Hours over 4 Weeks

Air Brake Z - Endorsement (TTSAO)

A valid “Z” endorsement is required to operate any vehicle equipped with air brakes in the province of Ontario. This would include large motor homes and other RV’s. 

This two-day program consists of in-class instruction, practical training, and a written and practical test and grants successful participants a “Z” endorsement.

Pre-requisites:
Participants must hold a valid “G” license;

Withdrawals and refunds:
Refunds will be issued only if the official withdrawal form is received no later than five business days prior to the program’s scheduled start date. Class times are 8am to 5pm. Please arrive 5min to 10min early. Participants not in the class at 8am will not be permitted.
Doors shut at 8 AM sharp
